Tutorial on how to put samples in music using reason NNXT NN-XT and Goldwave a free wave editor. Good for sampling vocals in jungle Drum and bass, dubstep, garage, house, trance, techno, electro, hip hop, pretty much any sort of tune in any dance orientated genre, also good for recording individual beats and creating loops with individual snares and kick drums etc. use this advice to cut sounds / samples from pretty much any source, radio, TV records vynyl, tape, microphone acapellas. you may need to play and pause this vid to keep up. As mentioned in the video, soundforge is a good main editor, mainly because it has time stretch and expand meaning you can speed up or slow down vocals to match your song and it doesnt go chipmonk style. There are other ways to sample, this is just the way I prefer and am used to. If anyone notice I went a long way round something please comment, I may have done it on purpose or I may not know. ++++++++++++ right click on the nnxt and create reverb and DDL delay line for some nice easy effects.

I’m using Sonar 8 …
I’m using Sonar 8 PRO. I got it. I’m pretty sure you can only upload 16-bit WAV files. I was trying to use my 32-bit, but it didnt work.

Yeah, what bit rate do the WAV files need to be in order for them to work on REASON?? It’s telling me that my WAV file samples are “Unsupported Format.”

I figured it out. I had to completely disable by interface and enable the Realtek stock output. Then (with the internal Realtek mixer thing set up for input/recording) it all worked out).

sounds like u need to go to go to ur soundcard recoring preference, dpends on what soundcard you have, need to find something aklong likes of preferences/recording/, some have a”record what you hear” button, others u pick wav/cd/mic/line in etc, I have my always sett to “what u hear2 then i dont have to ever change it.. let me know how u get on, loads of ppl ask the same thing and everytime its different.

probably press “tab …
probably press “tab” on the rack window and rewire? test the samples first though but click them wiv mouse while holding “Alt”, if u dont have a sound there, then something has been left out from the vid.

soz long delay!!…… either chop it wiv whatver wav program ur using first (goldwav is used in vid but theres loads out there, think one is mentioned below somewhere, soundforge is goofd but not free) then load all the choped bits into nn-xt, then right click, then “automap zones chromatically”.. 2nd way is to load the whole sample up as many times as you need, then turn loop start/Loop end, but that way is bollox if u ask me,, just do the first one!
