I want to know if moving to Kubuntu will be an easy transition. Are the office options going to be able to talk to windows Office and so on. Can i use all the usual downloadable software like itunes and chrome. Will music creation 16 work as well? Thanks

You’ll be able to use most of your Windows programs. Linux itself can’t run Windows programs, but there’s a program called WINE that will run almost any Windows program you want to use in the repositories.

Additionally, there are Linux equivalents such as OpenOffice that you can use…Which you’ll want to get used to. Chrome also comes in a native Linux version.

I’m looking into getting a Music Creation Software for my computer, and I stumbled across this one on the internet. Is the software and everything that you need to use it free? Also, is it a good application? How would you rate it in terms of ease of use? I’ve never used this type of software before, so I’m not sure where to start…

its good software and all of it is free,

its mainly for linux but its been ported to windows - as i don’t think there is a free music creator for windows,

nearly all linux applications and software is free - so people will get confused, they think ‘free = not very good’

try it - what do you have to loose, its free
