I’m trying to just record audio through a USB microphone I have, and put it over a video file I’ve got.

My problem is that, to my knowledge, I have no software that lets me record audio from a USB microphone, and no software that lets me mix videos together, so I could put said audio file over the video I made. I thought I had Windows Movie Maker, but I guess that was on an older computer.

Any help on any programs that might already be on my Windows 7 computer, or any safe free programs that could get the job done?


i have used a few other video editing programs and the easiest one has been
Photo MovieTheater. Very easy to use with professional features and
same sort of layout as Movie Maker however a lot more powerful.
