Adobe Audition was created using the Cool Edit Pro platform. Fortunately, Adobe kept the overall function of Cool Edit Pro and I find Adobe Audition to be very user friendly. Learn more at http://www.audioproduction.us/Adobe-Audition.html

I already have Dance Ejay and FLStudio but I was wondering if there was a better program available? I’m not into Rock and all that MUCH but it’d be better if I had an all-rounder. So I can make Rock/Techno/Dance…whatever; What’s the best you know of?
Steinberg’s Cubase is probably the best all-round program available. It is not freeware or shareware, but well worth the investment. Look it up on Yahoo search.
I have a Toshiba Satellite with an Intel Celeron M and 512mb DDR2 ram is there anyway to make it faster without spending anymore money. I am using it for Music Production with software such as FL Studio 6 XXL Producer Edition and Sony Acid Pro 6.0 and I am experiencing sound Latency Issues with my USB Audio Interface like clicking and popping sounds also low quality of rendering files to an MP3 format from FL Studio. Any advice on how to make use of what I have and make this Laptop faster?
At the very least, double your ram. It is the cheapest way to get your computer to run faster.
There are a few things that can make it marginally run faster. Shut down as many things that are running in the background as possible.
Ram is the best solution.
A fellow musician I collaborate with wrote a song called “Ten Years Gone.” We jam together in his studio space and I’m taking the audio tracks back to my studio space to edit and mix the tracks. I’m also adding additional guitar tracks. At this point the mixing will be off… we’ll find the drums are too quiet now because the original mix was set to have only one guitar. But with the additional guitar added we can get an idea of how the song will go. So when we record the song again with the new changes, we can do the mix properly. I’ll show that in an upcoming video.
